Removing Unexploded Weapons of War – An insurer's view
Lloyd’s have recently released an article citing the impact unexploded ordnance (UXO) has in the marine environment. This UXO is of particular concern for marine and offshore energy insurers, given the recent upsurge in exploratory and offshore activities.

Assessment and management of unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk in the marine environment (P2833)
The Crown Estate published a document in 2010, mainly for dredging and marine aggregate operators, to manage UXO risk associated with dredging munitions. However, little guidance exists for those people involved in other marine activities such as offshore wind farms, cable, and pipe laying activities in regards to assessing and managing UXO risk.
